Cork & Seaqual

We are glad to announce this new product, a symbiosis of natural Cork and recycled polyester fiber Seaqual. The Seaqual initiative challenges Plastic Pollution and helps to clean our oceans from marine litter, driving society towards circularity. The SEAQUAL initiative is a unique collaborative model involving NGOs, Fishermen, Local Communities, Researchers, Scientists, Authorities, and Private Stakeholders to clean the Ocean floor and surface, rivers and estuaries, beaches, and coastline.

The article “Cork Sea-bottle” has been manufactured by adhering and combining thin slices of cork with a recycled polyester fiber fabric (Seaqual), obtained from plastic waste collected from the Mediterranean Sea, whose certification number is 19100903IT

Plastic is destroying our marine life. We must act now. Together we can clean our oceans. Thanks to a global network of fishermen, Seaqual harvest this debris from the bottom of the sea and transform it into a high-quality recycled yarn.
